Another great book...

     Secret Pals are back!  For the last two years our staff has decided to choose secret pals.  It's always fun to give special secret surprises to someone to brighten their day. I love thinking of what little things my pal may like. I get excited knowing she has something waiting on her in her mailbox or on her desk when she arrives. I have a wonderful secret pal this year! Well, actually I did last year too! They were/are both so thoughtful, always surprising me with something that's just perfect.  I'm sure it helped that we all completed a little "all about me" sheet of things we like to let this special person know more about us, but it seems like these two people know me better than what I provided on the paper. 

      My "likes" information included that I LOVE reading historical fiction and evidently my secret pal does too! One of the very first things she (or I guess it could be he, but I seriously doubt it based on what I've gotten) gave me was her copy of Lilac Girls written by Martha Hall Kelly.  I absolutely loved it! There is something about sharing a book that is just special, personal. If you are looking for a great read, I hope you will consider checking out this wonderful book.  Some of it was difficult to read but also very interesting to have 3 very different perspectives of WWII as it takes hold and grips their lives. I just loved this book and hope you will too!
